Are subserosal fibroids serious?
Subserosal fibroids in clinical terms refer to subserosal uterine fibroids, which are usually considered more severe.
When subserosal uterine fibroids grow large, they may cause uterine cavity deformation, easily leading to infertility and potentially affecting normal fetal development, making the condition relatively serious. If subserosal fibroids occur at sites such as the uterine cornua or cervix, they may exert pressure on these areas, causing obstruction. This disease is also commonly associated with endometrial hyperplasia, which can lead to uterine bleeding and subsequent infection. In severe cases, it may result in female infertility, thus being regarded as a serious condition.
After diagnosis of subserosal uterine fibroids, the underlying cause should be promptly identified, and appropriate treatment methods should be implemented based on the specific etiology to minimize impact on uterine function.
