How are aneurysms treated
It is recommended that aneurysms be treated under medical guidance through general management, medication, and surgical treatment, as detailed below:
1. General Management
If the aneurysm is relatively small and not causing any adverse symptoms, regular observation is usually sufficient. Follow your doctor's instructions for periodic follow-up examinations to monitor the status of the aneurysm.
2. Medication
For patients in whom the aneurysm has increased in size and is causing symptoms but has not yet ruptured, symptom management may include medications such as bisoprolol fumarate tablets, metoprolol succinate extended-release tablets, or losartan potassium tablets, as directed by a physician.
Treatment with medication can last approximately two months.
3. Surgical Treatment
For aneurysms that have clearly ruptured and caused bleeding, it is recommended to follow medical advice and undergo surgical interventions such as endovascular repair or open surgical repair to prevent worsening of the condition.
In addition, postoperative exercise therapy or rehabilitation training should be incorporated to promote recovery and restore health.
