Introduction
Cholecystitis refers to a disease characterized by inflammation of the gallbladder. The main symptom of cholecystitis is abdominal pain, typically located in the right upper quadrant, which may radiate to the right scapula, back, or upper abdomen. The cause of abdominal pain is increased wall tension of the inflamed gallbladder, along with impaired bile drainage, leading to gallbladder distension and traction on the gallbladder wall, resulting in irritation.

There is no such thing as a "precursor" to cholecystitis. When suffering from cholecystitis, symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, and diarrhea may occur. A detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Abdominal Pain

Cholecystitis refers to inflammation of the gallbladder. The main symptom of cholecystitis is abdominal pain, usually located in the right upper quadrant, which may radiate to the right shoulder blade, back, or upper abdomen. The cause of abdominal pain is increased tension in the gallbladder wall due to inflammation. Additionally, bile cannot be properly expelled from the gallbladder, leading to gallbladder distension and stimulation caused by stretching of the gallbladder wall.

2. Fever

Cholecystitis may lead to elevated body temperature, typically above 38°C. The fever results from the inflammatory response triggered by cholecystitis, which activates the body's immune system, causing the release of various inflammatory mediators that raise body temperature.

3. Diarrhea

Cholecystitis can reduce bile secretion, impairing the normal excretion of bile salts and cholesterol. This may weaken intestinal motility, thereby leading to diarrhea.

In addition to the above symptoms, patients may also experience nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and bloating. If localized discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention at a hospital for professional evaluation and treatment. Furthermore, maintaining good dietary hygiene and healthy lifestyle habits is important for preventing the development of cholecystitis.
