Can you eat frozen kiwifruit?
Kiwifruit is generally still edible after freezing, but if signs of spoilage appear, it should not be consumed.

If the kiwifruit was fresh and undamaged before freezing, freezing it in the freezer is a method to extend its shelf life. In this case, the kiwifruit remains safe to eat after freezing. After thawing, its texture may become softer, but its nutritional value and safety remain unaffected.
However, if spoilage occurs after freezing, such as the flesh becoming soft and spongy, having a sour or bitter taste, or turning black, it indicates the growth of pathogens and nutrient loss. Consuming spoiled kiwifruit may cause acute or chronic gastroenteritis, food poisoning, and symptoms such as abdominal pain and vomiting.
Before consuming frozen kiwifruit, always check for signs of spoilage. If abnormalities in the flesh are noticed, discard it immediately to avoid consumption. Kiwifruit is better suited for refrigeration rather than freezing. Refrigeration can extend its freshness while maintaining better taste and nutritional value.
