Therefore, it is advisable to drink plenty of water and apply moisturizing lotions regularly to keep skin hydrated; increase indoor humidity using methods such as keeping indoor plants or fish, or employing a humidifier; wear cotton clothing whenever possible; and, when laundering synthetic fabrics, soak them in fabric softener before drying—this helps reduce static buildup.
