Introduction
1. Excessive stomach fire, chronic constipation, or indigestion can predispose individuals to acne on the nose. 2. Inadequate cleansing: This area contains a high density of sebaceous glands; therefore, timely and thorough cleansing is essential to prevent acne development. 3. Dietary factors: Many young people frequently consume spicy and stimulating foods. 4. Chronic sleep deprivation, leading to endocrine imbalance.

Acne on the nasal tip is essentially acne localized to that area. As the nose occupies the highest point among the five facial features, its appearance significantly influences overall facial aesthetics. Acne on the nose can completely undermine one’s overall visual appeal and is often accompanied by redness, itching, and pain.

What Causes Acne on the Nasal Tip?

1. Excessive Stomach Fire

From the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acne on the nose may be associated with excessive “stomach fire.” Individuals suffering from chronic constipation or indigestion are particularly prone to developing nasal acne. Such individuals should avoid spicy and stimulating foods. Additionally, meals and beverages should be warm—not cold—to prevent gastric irritation and excessive gastric acid secretion, which could further aggravate stomach fire.

2. Inadequate Cleansing

The nasal tip contains a high density of sebaceous glands. During normal physiological sebum production, excess sebum may accumulate beneath the skin surface if not properly expelled, leading to clogged pores and subsequent acne formation. Therefore, thorough and timely cleansing is essential to prevent pore blockage and acne development.

3. Dietary Factors

Many young people frequently consume spicy and stimulating foods—such as grilled lamb skewers, barbecued meats, sour-spicy rice noodles, raw scallions, ginger, and chili peppers—as well as fast food like KFC. These dietary habits may cause internal heat to ascend along the Lung meridian and ultimately manifest on the face, resulting in unexplained nasal acne. Therefore, it is advisable to adopt a light, balanced diet and minimize intake of spicy and irritating foods.

4. Chronic Sleep Deprivation

Prolonged late-night work or gaming sessions severely strain the body and disrupt endocrine balance, often manifesting as nasal acne. To prevent recurrent nasal breakouts, it is recommended to establish regular sleep-wake patterns and avoid frequent all-nighters—this can effectively improve acne on the nasal tip.
