Introduction
Sinus rhythm is a normal heart rhythm. In a healthy individual, the heartbeat originates from the sinoatrial (SA) node—the heart’s natural pacemaker. Thus, a normal heartbeat is characterized by sinus rhythm, and the SA node serves as the primary command center for cardiac contractions. A healthy heart requires a properly functioning SA node, which typically generates electrical impulses at a rate of approximately 60–100 beats per minute.

Sinus rhythm is a normal heart rhythm. In healthy individuals, the heartbeat originates from the sinoatrial (SA) node—the heart’s natural pacemaker. Thus, a normal heartbeat is termed “sinus rhythm,” and the SA node serves as the primary command center for cardiac electrical activity. A healthy heart must possess a properly functioning SA node. Any heart rhythm initiated by electrical impulses originating from the SA node is collectively referred to as sinus rhythm, with a normal rate of approximately 60–100 beats per minute.
