Introduction
Symptoms of sanitary pad allergy: After an allergic reaction to sanitary pads, redness, small red bumps, and itching typically occur in the external genitalia and buttocks. Following an allergic reaction, gently cleanse the external genital area—preferably with cool water. If itching and swelling are severe, oral antihistamines such as loratadine or cetirizine may be taken (choose one only).

Sanitary liners are commonly used by women. As menstruation nears its end, menstrual flow decreases, and most women switch to using sanitary liners at this stage. During manufacturing, liners may contain chemical additives such as fluorescent agents and bleaching agents. Improper use can easily trigger allergic reactions. If itching or redness occurs, discontinue use of that brand immediately.

Symptoms of Sanitary Liner Allergy

Following an allergic reaction to sanitary liners, the external genitalia and buttocks typically become red, develop small red bumps, and feel itchy.

After developing an allergy, gently cleanse the external genital area—preferably with cool water. If itching and swelling are severe, oral antihistamines (e.g., loratadine or cetirizine) may be taken—one is sufficient. Should symptoms worsen, consult a dermatologist at a reputable hospital.

During menstruation, maintain a light, bland diet; avoid high-fat and high-calorie foods. Instead, consume more fruits, vegetables, and legumes. The skin of the perineal region is delicate and requires a highly breathable environment. Wearing non-breathable clothing traps moisture, fostering bacterial growth and potentially leading to various health issues. Therefore, keep the perineal area clean and hygienic, adhere to a light diet, avoid raw, cold, or spicy foods, and wear cotton underwear.

The above outlines common symptoms associated with sanitary liner allergies. We hope this information is helpful to you.
