Introduction
Diane-35: Indicated for oral contraception. Cyproterone acetate/ethinylestradiol tablets are also used to treat androgen-dependent conditions in women, such as acne—particularly severe forms—including acne associated with seborrhea, inflammation, or nodular formation; female androgenetic alopecia; mild hirsutism; and hyperandrogenic symptoms in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

With increasing work-related stress, some women may develop gynecological disorders. Consequently, certain patients visit hospitals for examinations but then blindly self-administer Diane-35. What are the effects and indications of Diane-35?

Effects and Indications of Diane-35

Diane-35 is indicated for oral contraception and menstrual cycle regulation in women. Additionally, it may be prescribed to manage hyperandrogenism-related conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hirsutism, and acne. Diane-35 contains both estrogen (ethinylestradiol) and progestin (cyproterone acetate), classifying it as an oral hormonal medication. Long-term use is not recommended, as it may impair fertility. Diane-35 should only be taken strictly under medical supervision. Typically, treatment begins on Day 5 of the menstrual cycle and continues for three consecutive cycles. Each cycle consists of 21 consecutive days of active tablets, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval before initiating the next cycle. If a dose is missed, withdrawal bleeding may occur, potentially compromising contraceptive efficacy.

Diane-35 (ethinylestradiol/cyproterone acetate tablets) is indicated for oral contraception. It is also used to treat androgen-dependent conditions in women, including acne—particularly severe or inflammatory forms associated with seborrhea, papules, pustules, or nodules—as well as female androgenetic alopecia, mild hirsutism, and other signs of hyperandrogenism in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

During oral medication therapy, maintain a light, bland diet; avoid spicy, stimulating, or excessively cold foods. We hope this information proves helpful to you.
