Introduction
Beibei Jia has certain therapeutic effects. It is particularly effective for spinal deformities caused by poor posture—especially mild kyphosis or mild scoliosis. Beibei Jia works by stretching the spine, thereby helping restore normal spinal alignment in the back. With prolonged use, it can gradually correct spinal deformities resulting from incorrect sitting posture. However, not all types of spinal deformity are suitable for treatment with Beibei Jia.

Many students develop spinal deformities due to prolonged poor sitting posture, which not only affects external appearance but also impairs healthy physical development. Consequently, many turn to posture-correcting braces—such as “Beibei Jia”—to address this issue. But do these devices actually work?

Do posture-correcting braces like “Beibei Jia” work?

“Beibei Jia” does offer some therapeutic benefit. It can be effective for mild spinal deformities caused by poor posture—particularly mild kyphosis (hunchback) or mild scoliosis. By gently stretching and supporting the spine, it helps restore proper alignment of the back. With consistent, long-term use, it may gradually correct postural spinal deformities resulting from incorrect sitting habits. However, it is not suitable for all types of spinal deformity.

The human spine and joints should not remain in the same position for extended periods; otherwise, muscle stiffness, impaired blood circulation, and other issues may arise. Therefore, after sitting for approximately one hour, it is advisable to engage in several minutes of light movement. While a well-fitting brace supports proper posture, it also restricts natural movement. Hence, after wearing “Beibei Jia” for 1–2 hours, it should be removed to allow for physical activity and muscular relaxation.

During adolescence and childhood—critical periods of skeletal development—poor sitting posture can easily lead to scoliosis or kyphosis. Thus, children and adolescents must consciously maintain correct sitting and standing posture. Additionally, regular exercise targeting the shoulders and cervical spine is highly recommended—for example, seated or standing stretches, or supine sit-ups. We hope this information proves helpful.
