The primary causes of acne on the cheeks include excessive sebum production, obstruction of the pilosebaceous ducts, and inflammatory responses. Other contributing factors may include genetics, dietary habits, and emotional stress. Additionally, prolonged exposure to polluted environments—or to hot, humid conditions—can promote bacterial growth, which may also trigger cheek acne.
