Is a slow heart rate of 110 beats per minute normal?
Disease description:
Over the past two days, I’ve been walking slowly regularly to assess my physical health and monitoring my heart rate while doing so. Last night, I noticed that my heart rate during slow walking was 110 bpm. I’d like to ask: Is a heart rate of 110 bpm during slow walking normal?
In this case, the heart rate is somewhat elevated. Slow walking would have minimal impact on heart rate and would not cause such tachycardia; therefore, the elevated heart rate may be intrinsic, suggesting possible cardiac pathology. It is recommended that you visit the Department of Cardiology at a hospital for further evaluation. Relevant tests should be performed, including: complete blood count (CBC), electrocardiogram (ECG), chest X-ray, echocardiography, carotid artery ultrasound, and 24-hour Holter monitoring, to assess for any cardiac abnormalities. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are essential if any issues are identified.
