A heart rate of 76 beats per minute is within the normal range; the normal resting heart rate for adults is 60–100 beats per minute. Therefore, your current heart rate is normal. In addition to assessing heart rate, an electrocardiogram (ECG) also evaluates cardiac rhythm. Some patients may exhibit arrhythmias such as premature beats, bigeminy, or trigeminy, while others may develop atrioventricular (AV) conduction blocks.
