Is it appropriate to take sodium diclofenac for gout pain?
Disease description:
Since my youth, I’ve consumed large amounts of seafood and beer, and I’ve suffered from gout for several years. May I ask: Is it appropriate to take sodium diclofenac for gout-related pain?
For patients with gout, anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications can be used during acute flares. During the intercritical (quiescent) phase, colchicine and glucocorticoids may be employed for treatment. Diclofenac sodium is an anti-inflammatory drug that effectively alleviates pain symptoms; therefore, it is clinically appropriate for gout management. However, the specific dosage and administration regimen should be determined and closely supervised by a physician.
