Low white blood cell count is mostly associated with compromised immune function. Symptoms such as cough and dizziness may also indicate reduced immunity. Symptomatic treatment with oral antitussive medications, along with immune-enhancing and qi- and blood-tonifying agents, may be considered. If no significant improvement is observed after 3–5 days of treatment, it is advisable to seek medical evaluation at a hospital; subsequent management—including appropriate diagnostic tests and targeted therapy—should be guided by the clinical findings. Additionally, consuming nutrient-rich foods can help strengthen the body’s resistance.
