The presence of lymphocytes in a blood test with a low percentage does not necessarily indicate disease; however, it may be caused by a viral infection. In such cases, the total white blood cell (WBC) count should be evaluated specifically. As long as the total WBC count and absolute lymphocyte count are within normal ranges, there is no cause for concern, and no additional treatment is required. However, monitor closely for clinical symptoms such as cold or fever.
