Can taking ibuprofen relieve headaches?

Ibuprofen is effective for relieving headaches and possesses anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. Headaches and insomnia may be associated with neurasthenia, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, insomnia disorder, or vascular neurogenic headache. These conditions may also cause irritability, dizziness, fatigue, and lethargy. Concurrent treatment with sedative-hypnotic and neuroregulatory medications may be beneficial. Maintain regular sleep-wake schedules; avoid tea, coffee, and other stimulants that may interfere with sleep; and refrain from overexertion and emotional agitation.
