Recently, I ate mushrooms that I grew myself, but a medical examination revealed elevated uric acid levels. May I ask: Is it safe to eat mushrooms when uric acid levels are high?

Individuals with elevated uric acid levels may consume mushrooms, but only in moderation. Since a low-purine diet is recommended for hyperuricemia, and although mushrooms contain only moderate amounts of purines, they should be eaten sparingly. The most important dietary strategy for managing high uric acid is to strictly avoid high-purine foods—such as organ meats, soy products, and seafood—and to maintain adequate hydration while abstaining from alcohol. Additionally, uric acid–lowering capsules may be used as an adjunctive therapy.
