In early pregnancy, hydronephrosis is typically mild and asymptomatic. Symptoms—such as low back soreness, pain, or a feeling of distension—generally appear only when hydronephrosis becomes more severe. This is primarily due to progressive uterine enlargement in late pregnancy, which compresses the ureters and impedes urinary outflow, leading to renal pelvic dilation (hydronephrosis).
