What foods can easily cause miscarriage?
Disease description:
I had a very difficult time conceiving, and I’m extremely worried that eating certain foods might cause a miscarriage. Could you please tell me which foods may increase the risk of miscarriage?
During early pregnancy, consuming blood-activating foods—such as lychee, longan, donkey-hide gelatin (ejiao), and Chinese chives—may increase the risk of miscarriage. Similarly, ingesting excessively cold, raw, or spicy foods—such as crab or other cold-natured seafood—may also elevate miscarriage risk. Other foods associated with increased miscarriage risk include scallions, ginger, garlic, chili peppers, lamb, fennel, hawthorn, longan, apricot kernels, black fungus (wood ear), pork liver, and soft-shelled turtle.
