Over the past two days, I have been experiencing frequent migraines. I visited the hospital and was prescribed several medications, including acetaminophen tablets. Could you please advise whether acetaminophen tablets should be taken on an empty stomach or after a meal?

Hello, acetaminophen tablets are used to relieve moderate pain, such as headache, joint pain, and dysmenorrhea. There is no strict requirement regarding whether to take them before or after meals; however, absorption is generally better when taken on an empty stomach (i.e., before meals). If gastrointestinal discomfort occurs after taking the medication, it may be taken after meals instead. Should adverse reactions such as rash or urticaria occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately.
