Pale and dry lips may result from cheilitis or excessive talking, which dries out the lips and leads to flaking—particularly at the corners of the mouth. Treatment may include topical antibiotics or lip balms to alleviate pallor and dryness. Additionally, pale and dry lips can also occur in individuals with liver disease, diabetes, or anemia.
