We really want to have a child, but tests show that I have never ovulated. Could you please tell me: Is it possible for a woman who does not ovulate to become pregnant?

Women cannot become pregnant without ovulation, as ovulation releases an egg that, when fertilized by sperm, forms a zygote. The zygote then develops into an embryo and subsequently a fetus. Without ovulation—and thus no egg—fertilization cannot occur, making pregnancy impossible. In women with regular menstrual cycles, ovulation typically occurs approximately 14 days before the onset of the next menstrual period. The fertile window spans about 4–5 days before and after ovulation. Therefore, couples wishing to conceive should have intercourse during this fertile window to maximize the chances of pregnancy.
