Side effects of washing the face with white vinegar typically include mild skin irritation, such as slight stinging or discomfort. It may also cause thinning of the stratum corneum or itching; in severe cases, it can even lead to visible telangiectasia (broken capillaries). White vinegar is inherently irritating, and using it directly on the face may trigger these adverse effects. Therefore, it is not advisable to use it indiscriminately. For facial cleansing, lukewarm water is recommended, as it helps minimize skin irritation.
