What vitamins should be taken for seborrheic dermatitis?
Disease description:
Recently, I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis and am considering taking some vitamins. Which vitamins are recommended for seborrheic dermatitis?
Seborrheic dermatitis can be managed with vitamin B6 and vitamin B2 supplementation, as well as appropriate intake of a B-complex vitamin. However, if pruritus accompanies seborrheic dermatitis, vitamin supplementation alone is insufficient for treatment. Typically, low-dose oral prednisone—prescribed and monitored by a physician—may be used. Additionally, sulfur ointment or ketoconazole cream may be applied topically to alleviate symptoms.
