Common Symptoms of Chronic Appendicitis
Disease description:
My friend was recently diagnosed with appendicitis and is currently undergoing treatment. Could you please tell me the common symptoms of chronic appendicitis?
Chronic appendicitis commonly presents with symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fever, diarrhea, fatigue, abdominal distension, constipation, nausea, and vomiting. Some patients may experience persistent pain in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen for months or even years—characterized by intermittent dull or distending pain that fluctuates in intensity. In certain cases, the pain may be severe and intolerable. Additionally, some patients may exhibit somnolence and unintentional weight loss.
