After conception, basal body temperature typically ranges from 36.9°C to 37.1°C. The slight rise in body temperature during early pregnancy is caused by increased progesterone secretion, which may elevate temperature by approximately 0.3–0.4°C above the normal baseline—though this change is generally minimal. Throughout pregnancy, a body temperature below 37.5°C is generally considered within the normal range. However, if fever occurs alongside any discomfort or other symptoms, prompt medical evaluation and treatment are recommended.
