Symptoms of Heterochromia
Disease description:
Since last month, I’ve constantly felt that something was off with my eyes, so I went to the hospital for an examination and was diagnosed with heterochromia iridis. What specific symptoms does this condition cause?
The primary symptom of heterochromia is a difference in iris color between the two eyes, which may manifest as either darkening or lightening of one iris. Additionally, some patients may experience associated conditions such as ciliary congestion or corneal edema. When these symptoms occur, prompt medical consultation is recommended. Under a physician’s guidance, anti-inflammatory treatment—typically involving corticosteroids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)—may be prescribed.
