In general, it is recommended to avoid bathing your baby for 24 hours after vaccination. This is primarily because the injection site is prone to abnormal reactions such as redness, swelling, or rashes. If the baby is bathed immediately after vaccination, it becomes difficult to determine whether any observed reaction is due to the vaccine itself or caused by irritation from the bath water. Additionally, a baby’s immune resistance is relatively low following vaccination; bathing too soon may therefore increase the risk of catching a cold or other illnesses.
