Peanut butter is not recommended for gout patients. It is processed from peanuts and contains a high amount of fat. Gout patients should follow a light, low-salt, low-fat, and low-sugar diet while strictly limiting intake of high-purine foods. Due to its high fat content, peanut butter is unsuitable for gout patients. Whether during acute gout attacks or when serum uric acid levels have normalized, gout patients must maintain strict dietary control—restricting or even avoiding high-purine foods altogether.
