What does it mean to have a dry mouth and throat with phlegm?
Disease description:
Hello, I’m 32 years old. Recently, I’ve been experiencing persistent dry mouth and throat, along with phlegm production. I’d like to know what might be causing dry mouth and throat accompanied by phlegm.
Dry mouth and throat with phlegm are commonly caused by factors such as the common cold, pharyngitis, or poor dietary habits. Prolonged consumption of spicy or irritating foods—and generally neglecting dietary hygiene—can also contribute. Symptoms may be alleviated by drinking plenty of warm water, increasing intake of fruits and vegetables, reducing consumption of cold or hard-to-digest foods, and, when necessary, taking medications or adjusting diet under the guidance of a specialist physician.
