I’m 23 years old and was bitten by a mosquito on my lip. I’d like to ask: how long does it typically take for swelling from a mosquito bite on the lip to subside?

Mosquito bites on the lips cause noticeable local swelling due to the loose tissue structure in this area. Swelling typically subsides within approximately 3–5 days; however, prompt treatment can facilitate earlier resolution. For instance, within several hours after the bite, the affected area may be wiped with baking soda or soapy water, followed by a moist compress to neutralize the acidic substances released during the bite. Once the toxins are neutralized, local swelling tends to subside more rapidly. Later, a boric acid solution may also be used for local moist compresses.
