Xue Fu Zhu Yu Wan may have a certain therapeutic effect on melasma. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), melasma is attributed to deficiencies in liver and kidney qi, stagnation of qi and blood stasis, and liver heat. Therefore, Xue Fu Zhu Yu Wan may be selected for regulation and treatment. Additionally, patients may apply topical medications—such as adapalene gel—to the affected areas to help alleviate melasma.
