What should I do if blisters appear after a mosquito bite?

Disease description:

Whenever I take my baby out for a while, the baby gets bitten by mosquitoes. After each bite, a blister forms, and sometimes the area becomes purulent. The condition persists without improvement. I would like to know how to manage blisters that develop after mosquito bites.

After a mosquito bite causes blistering, the first step is to examine the affected area. If the skin is intact (no breaks or open wounds), apply calamine lotion. If there is a break in the skin, use wet compresses with boric acid solution or normal saline. For larger blisters, a sterile needle may be used to carefully puncture the edge of the blister and drain the fluid; afterward, apply mupirocin ointment (e.g., Bactroban®) to prevent infection and keep the area dry. Avoid squeezing the blister with your fingers, as this may worsen inflammation. Additionally, take preventive measures against insect bites—such as using mosquito nets or insect-repellent lotions (e.g., Hu Lu Shui)—and maintain good personal hygiene habits.
