What causes whole-body fever before menstruation?
Disease description:
It’s almost time for my period these past couple of days, and I’ve been feeling generally unwell and sweating frequently. I’m wondering—what causes the sensation of whole-body heat before menstruation?
Feeling feverish all over before menstruation may be caused by abnormal hormonal metabolism. Generalized fever is an endocrine disorder, and patients should promptly measure their body temperature. If accompanied by symptoms of an external pathogenic invasion—such as fever, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, or cough—further pharmacological treatment is required. However, if generalized warmth or a mild rise in body temperature occurs solely during menstruation, this is considered a normal physiological phenomenon. Patients should remain relaxed, maintain a positive mindset, and avoid highly stimulating foods.
