Can pregnant women with high blood sugar eat luosifen (snail rice noodles)?
Disease description:
I’m pregnant, but recently my blood sugar levels have been slightly elevated for unknown reasons. Today, I’m especially craving luosifen (a spicy rice noodle soup dish). So, I’d like to ask: Is it safe to eat luosifen during pregnancy if I have elevated blood sugar?
Pregnant women with elevated blood glucose levels may consume small amounts of luosifen (a type of rice noodle soup with snails) safely. However, excessive consumption may cause blood glucose spikes due to the high starch content in luosifen. During pregnancy, elevated blood glucose requires careful dietary management: foods with excessively high sugar content should be avoided, as should fried or greasy foods. Additionally, if luosifen is prepared in a restaurant under unhygienic conditions, it may harbor large numbers of bacteria and parasites, increasing the risk of acute gastrointestinal illness.
