Causes of peeling and wrinkling of the glans penis.
If phimosis (excessively long foreskin) leads to accumulation of smegma and subsequent balanitis, treatment with topical antibiotics such as erythromycin ointment or mupirocin ointment is recommended.
If the condition is caused by a fungal infection, terbinafine gel is recommended.
In cases of recurrent infection, timely consultation at a hospital for circumcision is advised.
