Dietary Precautions After Hemorrhoid Surgery
Disease description:
I suffer from hemorrhoids and recently underwent surgery. What dietary precautions should I take after hemorrhoid surgery?
After hemorrhoid surgery, the diet should primarily consist of light, nutritious liquid and semi-liquid foods—such as millet porridge, egg drop soup, and preserved egg and lean meat congee. Additionally, patients should consume an appropriate amount of vegetables and fruits to promote gastrointestinal motility and prevent constipation or hard stools. It is also essential to drink plenty of water and soups to increase intestinal moisture. Spicy, stimulating, or excessively cold foods should be avoided to prevent bodily discomfort.
