Dr. Zhang Liwen
There are many reasons why oral ulcers can cause sore throat. These may include psychological stress, deficiencies in vitamins and trace elements (e.g., vitamin B2), hormonal imbalances, malnutrition, and immune-related factors. When oral ulcers lead to pharyngeal pain, patients require both local treatment and systemic medication. Among common foods, milk, soybeans, and animal livers contain the highest levels of vitamin B2. Whenever possible, we should maintain a balanced diet to help prevent oral ulcers. If oral ulcers have already developed, vitamin B2 supplementation—either through dietary sources or pharmacological agents—is essential for effective management.
