Mumps has developed, and drug therapy is the primary treatment approach. Mumps is an infectious disease; if it is bacterial in origin, antibiotics prescribed by a physician—such as cefixime granules—must be administered. If caused by a viral infection, antiviral medications such as ribavirin granules are required to facilitate recovery. In cases of fever with body temperature exceeding 38.5°C, ibuprofen suspension should be used.
