Eating bananas causes significant pain in patients with oral ulcers, typically due to irritation or stimulation of the ulcerated area. A hallmark feature of oral ulcers is intense pain that interferes with eating and speaking. If the pain is mild, it may be alleviated by minimizing stimulation to the ulcer site. For severe pain, topical analgesics can be used. For instance, applying a spray such as Xigua Shuang (Watermelon Frost) directly onto the ulcer surface can help relieve discomfort.
