What causes lower abdominal pain and low backache?
Disease description:
I’m a young woman, and for the past two days, I’ve been experiencing persistent discomfort and pain in my lower abdomen, along with soreness and aching in my lower back. I’d like to know what might be causing this.
Lower abdominal pain and lower back soreness may result from hormonal imbalances during menstruation, which can stimulate the pelvic cavity and cause uterine bleeding—leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain and lower back discomfort. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and typically requires no treatment.
Secondly, gynecological inflammation—such as pelvic inflammatory disease, vaginitis, or endometritis—should also be considered. These conditions commonly present with lower abdominal pain and lower back soreness.
Additionally, such symptoms may stem from other non-gynecological disorders, including gastrointestinal diseases or lumbar spine pathology.
