What Is Chronic Cervicitis in Women?
Disease description:
Our organization promotes regular health checkups, stating that women are prone to chronic cervicitis. However, I feel perfectly healthy and don’t see the need for such examinations. I’d like to ask: What exactly is chronic cervicitis in women?
The primary causes of chronic cervicitis in women include surgical trauma, induced abortion, multiple vaginal deliveries, and invasion of pathogenic microorganisms into the cervical region. Most cases of chronic cervicitis are asymptomatic; only a minority of patients experience symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, foul odor, or postcoital bleeding. To prevent cervicitis, women should maintain external genital hygiene, practice safe sexual habits, engage in regular physical exercise to boost immunity, promptly treat acute cervicitis, and undergo routine gynecological examinations.
