After receiving the hepatitis A vaccine, mild symptoms such as pain, tenderness, and redness or swelling at the injection site may occur. A small number of individuals may experience transient fever, which typically resolves spontaneously within two days. Additionally, vaccination is contraindicated in individuals with fever, chronic illness, active disease, or psychiatric conditions prior to vaccination. Regarding hepatitis B vaccination, the decision should be based on individual circumstances: children aged two years and older are advised to receive it as early as possible; adults without detectable antibodies against hepatitis A should also receive the vaccine.
