What causes tonsillar ulcers?
Disease description:
Recently, I have frequently experienced itching in my throat and difficulty swallowing while eating. After visiting the hospital for examination, I was diagnosed with tonsillar ulcers. What exactly are tonsillar ulcers?
Tonsillar ulcers may result from infections caused by pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, or fungi. They may also arise due to metastasis from conditions including scarlet fever, malignant tumors of the pharynx, or tonsil cancer. Additionally, immunosuppression cannot be ruled out as a potential cause. Clinical manifestations of tonsillar ulcers may include dysphagia, fever, and sore throat.
