Nose-blowing–induced epistaxis is not necessarily indicative of cancer. If a patient’s nasal cavity is excessively dry, it can impair the normal function of the nasal mucosa and predispose surrounding blood vessels to rupture, resulting in epistaxis triggered by nose-blowing. Additionally, nasal inflammatory conditions—such as allergic rhinitis—can cause excessive dilation of perinasal capillaries, thereby increasing the risk of nose-blowing–induced epistaxis. Patients are advised to maintain nasal hygiene and follow a light, bland diet.
