Symptoms of muscle necrosis
Disease description:
My leg has been swollen for a long time, and now it's starting to turn black. After going to the hospital for an examination, I found out it's muscle necrosis. I would like to know what the symptoms of muscle necrosis are.
This condition is mainly characterized by local pain, swelling, and impaired movement. When accompanied by local infection, redness, swelling, fever, and pain may occur. Significantly necrotic muscle tissue may appear locally blackened or whitened. In later stages, upon touching the necrotic area, pain gradually subsides and muscle contraction becomes evident. Once muscle necrosis is definitively diagnosed, surgery must be performed immediately to completely remove the necrotic tissue; otherwise, expansion of the affected area will become irreversible.
