X-ray findings of bronchopneumonia
Disease description:
I think I might have bronchopneumonia, as I've been having a persistent cough recently. What does bronchopneumonia look like on an X-ray?
The main X-ray findings of bronchopneumonia include thickened pulmonary markings and small patchy shadows, predominantly located in the lower lobes of both lungs, the middle and inner zones, and the cardiophrenic angles. Diagnosis of bronchopneumonia is typically based on chest X-ray examination, blood tests, and clinical symptoms. Patients commonly present with recurrent fever and persistent cough that fails to resolve despite prolonged treatment. Bronchopneumonia is one of the more common types of pneumonia.
