How many degrees of myopia are considered high myopia?
Disease description:
My eyesight is now over 400 degrees, and everything looks blurry to me. I feel my myopia is quite severe. I'd like to know how many degrees constitute high myopia?
Myopia of over 600 degrees is considered high myopia. Mild myopia ranges from 300 to 600 degrees, high myopia from 600 to 900 degrees, and extreme high myopia exceeds 900 degrees. Clinically, high myopia exceeding 600 degrees can lead to axial elongation of the eye and pathological changes in the fundus associated with myopia. Regular fundus examinations are necessary to detect peripheral degenerative changes early and prevent severe pathological complications related to myopia.
