The hard scar from circumcision will disappear within 3 to 6 months. One month after surgery, swelling should completely subside and the wound should be fully healed. Sexual activity or strenuous physical exercise should only resume once normal condition has been restored. Apply warm compresses regularly, frequently retract the foreskin to expose the glans, and maintain good local hygiene. Eat a light diet and avoid spicy or irritating foods.
